Tragedy struck on Monday as three police officers and some arrested suspects have died in a ghastly motor accident along Ibbi-Wukari road in Ibbi local government area of Taraba State at about 6 pm.
Community sources told RAB that the sad incident happened few kilometers from where three police men were killed by soldiers weeks ago.

It was gathered that deceased policemen were said to be working under DCP Abba Kyari and both the three police officers and the suspects died instantly at the scene of the accident.
Confirming the incident the police public relation officer, DSP. David Misal told Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB reporter via Telephone that they are aware of the unfortunate incident which claimed the lives of the policemen.

Misal added that the officers were escorting the suspects to area command in Wukari when the driver of the police vehicle they were traveling lost control and somersaulted.
He said the victims were part of DCP Abba Kyari’s team that came to Ibbi, following the killing of 3 Police men and 2 civilians and were left behind to conduct further investigation in the area.
As at time of filing this report the chairman of filing this report, the chairman of Ibbi LG government is yet to confirm the incident as he neither picked nor return calls made to him by RAB reporter.
