Eight out of the 10 governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State have urged the national secretariat of the party to, as a matter of urgency, declare the just-concluded governorship primary election for the state as “inconclusive.”
The aspirants, who converged under the auspices of Forum of Aspirants, also called for the immediate disqualification of two of the aspirants whom they alleged perpetrated the “worse form of “ballot snatching.”
The aspirants, who briefed journalists yesterday in Jalingo, the state capital, admonished the party’s leadership to inaugurate a neutral team for the conduct of a fresh primary election in the state following the skirmishes they claimed arose during the exercise.
One of the accused aspirants, Joel Danlami Ikenya, who described the allegations as “baseless”, said those aspirants complaining were those not on ground.
