Taraba state governor, Darius Ishaku has called on the Nigerian senate to facilitate the implementation of the state police system before the 2019 general election.

The governor was speaking when he received the Nigeria’s senate president Bukola Saraki in Jalingo.
Worried by the security situation in the country and the use of security personnel to intimidate the electorate, Taraba state governor Darius Ishaku asked the Nigerian senate to facilitate the state police system in the country before the 2019 general elections.
Governor Ishaku described Saraki as a man of courage and a lover of democracy.
Bukola Saraki said impunity and injustice is responsible for the insecurity in the country. He called on Nigerians to vote for a president with youthful energy, devoid of sentiments, and capable of carrying all Nigerians along irrespective of ethic or political differences.
Speaking on the national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which will hold on saturday, governor Ishaku urged all presidential aspirants of the party to support whoever emerges winner at the party's presidential primary election.
