German Investors to Train Taraba Youths. Youths in
the State will soon be engaged positively in various
skills courtesy of the Rescue Mission of his Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku in collaboration with the German Investment Firm, “Center for Continuing Vocational and Training in Skilled Craft”.
Governor Darius Ishaku revealed that the
investors are in the State on a pre – visit to carry
out feasibility studies on how best they can come
to the aid of the teaming youths of the State and
make them productive members of the the
society.
He said this yesterday in his office when the team
paid him a courtesy call, saying that, his
administration is determined to carry the youths
of the State along by training them in various
skills, pointing out that when youths are engaged
in one activity or the other, it helps speed up
development and equally reduces restiveness
and criminality in the State.
The Governor maintained that their visit will
cover the three Geo – Political Zones where
technical and Skill Acquisition Centers, aimed at
providing services in the areas of education and
artisanship while positing that, when it fully takes
off it would be of great benefit to the people of
the State particularly, the youths.
Darius Ishaku stated that the Germans are people that are known Worldwide in terms of commitment and dedication to work, asserting that they are known with less speech but more of action that is geared towards positive results stressing that the German economy is one of the best today in the world.
He used the opportunity to call on youths in the
State not to allow this golden opportunity of
contributing to the growth of the State pass them
by and encouraged all to come forward and take
up training in different fields that will make them
better persons in the society.
The first phase of the programme is expected to
start in Takum while others in the remaining two
Zones of the State will follow later.
Speaking, the leader of the delegation, Engineer
Christian Matschulla said they are in the State to
contribute their quota towards the development
of the State through Skills Acquisition and
assured the Governor that they will put in their
best to ensure that youths of the State acquire
skills that will enhance socio economic growth.
Accordingly, Matschulla maintained that
empowering youths is the best legacy that the
State can bequeath to the youths, stressing that
the youths will be trained in skills that will
launched them to an entrepreneurial level as
well as appreciated the Governor for giving them
the opportunity to come and showcase their level
of expertise by training youths in the State,
assuring that, they will not betray the trust
reposed on them.
In his contribution, the representative of German
Embassy in Nigeria Mr. Taima who rolled out the
success stories of German and Nigerian
relationship and pointed out that, this is another
opportunity to train more people by first training
the trainer that will go into the interior to train
more youths.
He added that Vocational training is the best way
to fast track development most especially in the
areas of skills acquisition, pointing out that the
world today relies on skilled manpower and
reaffirmed his country’s determination to help
the State to advance technologically.
