Taraba State Polytechnic Gets New Acting Rector

Dr. Amos Agbu has been named the new acting Rector of Taraba State Polytechnic in Suntai.

His appointment follows the end of Dr. Ayuba Ibrahim Abarshi’s tenure on May 13, 2024, after four years of effective leadership.

Before his new role, Dr. Agbu was the Deputy Rector of Administration at Taraba State Polytechnic. He has also served as the Dean of the School of Engineering and Head of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department.

Dr. Agbu earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Electronic Engineering from Modibbo Adama University of Technology in Yola, Adamawa State. He joined Taraba State Polytechnic as a lecturer and has steadily advanced to leadership roles.

Additionally, Comrade Ignatius Innocent Jellason, the former Registrar whose term ended in December 2023, has been succeeded by Mr. Kwesinde Biki as the new acting Registrar.
