Police have apprehended five suspected criminals believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies and kidnappings along the Numan-Jalingo highway in Kaduna State. The arrests were made following timely responses to distress calls reporting road blockages by armed robbers.

The Adamawa State Police Command, in collaboration with local hunters, successfully arrested the suspects on May 10, 2024.

The suspects, armed with weapons, had blocked the Numan-Jalingo Road, robbing commuters and kidnapping three passengers.

However, a swift response from the police led to the apprehension of five out of seven suspects, the recovery of weapons, and the rescue of the kidnapped victims.

The arrested individuals, Adamu Usman, Sule Abba, Abdullahi Muhammed, Aliyu Abubakar, and Isah Musa, hail from Demsa and Song local government districts.
