The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Taraba State Command, showcased three suspected armed robbers apprehended around the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Jalingo metropolis, following a tip-off by concerned citizens.

The suspects, paraded at the state command’s headquarters in Jalingo, were identified as Mustapha Abubakar, 30, Suleiman Bello, 39, and Aliyu Abubakar, 27.

According to Adamu Salihu, the state Commandant, the gang had been active between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., employing weapons to rob residents of their possessions. NSCDC operatives swiftly arrested three out of the four gang members after receiving the tip-off.

Recovered items from the suspects include two television sets, 12 wrappers, six Android phones, one iPhone, and one keypad phone. The suspects confessed to breaking into two houses during the robberies.

Salihu urged the public to stay vigilant, especially amid the ongoing power outage in the state. He emphasized the importance of reporting any suspicious activities to security agencies for prompt action.
