Lanwe Bazing, the deceased



Tragedy unfolded in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, on Friday when a man lost his life to phone snatchers. The victim, identified as Lanwe Bazing, a younger brother to the former Head of Service, Engr. Augustine Bazing, met his unfortunate end in the Mile Six area around 9PM.

Reports from Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reveal that Bazing had hired a bike near the DeKrockz axis, where he faced assailants demanding his phone.

Despite resisting, he was stabbed, causing him to fall and fatally injure himself as he hit a gutter. The deceased's body has been placed in the morgue at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Jalingo.

Efforts to confirm the incident with the Police Public Relations Officer of Taraba State Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, were unsuccessful as he was unavailable for comment at the time of this report.
