The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has taken action against unauthorized oil and gas stations in Taraba and Imo States. 


In Jalingo, Taraba State, Saismo General Merchants Limited was sealed for illegally selling Liquefied Natural Gas, as shown in a video shared by the agency.


Similarly, Udeking Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited in Naze, Imo State, was sealed for operating without a valid license.


Earlier in December, Oxkings Petroleum Limited in Avu, Imo State, was sealed for under-dispensing petrol by 470 mls per liter. NMDPRA, overseeing midstream and downstream petroleum operations, resulted from the merger of three defunct regulatory agencies.


Notably, the authority also sealed and apprehended the operator of an illegal gas outlet in Warri, Delta State, after discovering the removal of the previously placed seal on the facility.
