In a bid to show respect, and honor the late paramount ruler of Kawararafa, HRM Dr. Angyu Massa Ibbi (Kuvyun II), the residents of Wukari metropolis have observed strict compliance to the closure of the shop. Rhapsodi Affos Blog reports.

The Wukari traditional council had on Monday given an order which mandated the closure of business shops and restrictions of movements from 6: 00 AM - 12:59 PM, starting from Tuesday till Sunday. Nothing that from 1 pm till dawn businesses and other activities resume.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reporter who went round some part of the metropolis observed that there was strict compliance to the orders in most of the places visited. All the shops around Federal University Wukari axis were completely closed, the same was observed around Takum Junction, Federal Government College axis, Ibbi roundabout, and other places we visited.

RAB observed that restrictions of the movement were not completely adhered to because of students of high institutions in the metropolis. However, the movement was relatively restricted.

Soldiers were also seen as strategic positions to reinforce order in case of any violations.

Hamish Audu, a shop owner who spoke with Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB reporter said, sparing few hours as a sign of respect to the monarch is laudable, Mr.  Mikin Daniel a resident of Wukari extolled the king adding that even at his death he deserves every respect accorded to him.

Recall that Rhapsodi Affos Blog had earlier reported that the monarch went to join his ancestors after a protracted illness.

As of the time of filing this report, the order for today has elapsed.
