Jalingo - Following the havoc that has been wrecked on the Northeast sub region by the rise of insecurity which has birthed insurgency such as the the Boko Haram invasion, armed banditry, kidnaping and communal Clashes which has almost brought the region down to its knees and thus the need for proactive measures.
Against the above background, the Taraba state government under the leadership of his Excellency, Arch Darius Dickson Ishaku will host a two days organised Northeast security summit coming up on the 6th and 7th of July 2021.
The summit is expected to take place in Jalingo the Taraba state capital. The Senate President, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Lawal is expected to be in attendance to declare the summit open and the Secretary General of the Federal, SGF, Boss Mustapha will also be in attendance to grace the occasion.
All Northeast Governors of Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Taraba states respectively are expected to be in attendance as issues of pressing security concern will be deliberated upon during the summit.
Rhapsodi Affos Blog gathered that the meeting is set to talk on the rise of insecurity in the region, the adverse effects of communal clashes, Banditry, Kidnapping and lots more. It will further suggest possible ways out of the looking famine that awaits the region and the nation, being one of the major producers of farm produce such as rice, yam, palm oil and lots more.
