Residents of the Kofia-Adamu community, a suburb of Takum LG have started relocating from their community after suspected militias ambushed some soldiers, killing one and leaving there injured. Rhapsodi Affos Blog reports.
The residents, Rhapsodi Affos Blog gathered have concluded plans not to sleep in the community tonight over the fear of the unknown, adding that for the past weeks there have been tension as a result of several attacks along the axis.
Others however said, they are not sure if their safety is guaranteed, citing how soldiers were alleged to have launched an attack in the neighboring state of Benue following the killings of some soldiers, one of the community sources said, “the fear of being attacked has started to force women and other people to flee.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog had reported that suspected armed militia killed a soldier in an ambush that occurred in Kofia-Adamu village of Takum Local Government Council of Taraba State in the early hours of Tuesday leaving three other soldiers injured.
Reacting to the incident, the chairman of Takum LG, Hon. Shiban Tikari has confirmed the incident to Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reporter via telephone adding that the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
Tikari however said, he is suspecting the militias to be of the Tiv extraction, because they came from Tiv villages. He called on the federal government to come to the aid of the state government to effectively checkmate hoodlums’ activities in the council and particularly in the southern part of the state.
