Tragedy struck on Tuesday as unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits killed a soldier and left three others injured after laying an ambush in Taraba.
Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB gathered that the incident happened along Kofia-Adamu village, a suburb of Takum Local Government Council of Taraba State where they suspected militias laid an ambush for them, leading to the death of one soldier and injuring 3 soldiers.
The chairman of Takum LG, Hon. Shiban Tikari has confirmed the incident to Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reporter via telephone adding that the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday.

Tikari however said, he is suspecting the militias to be of the Tiv extraction, because they came from Tiv villages. He called on the federal government to come to the aid of the state government to effectively checkmate hoodlums’ activities in the council and particularly in the southern part of the state.
Adding that the three injured soldiers have since been taken to the hospital and are undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
Recall that, a few days ago, Rhapsodi Affos Blog had reported that a mobile policeman attached to the 67 Mobile Police Squadron in Takum LG has reportedly been shot dead as the chairman of Takum local government council of Taraba State, Hon. Shiban Tikari narrowly escaped death as militias attacked Dogon Gawa community in the early hours of Saturday morning.
