Tragedy struck on Tuesday as yet to be identified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted two businessmen in Baissa, the headquarter of Kurmi LG of Taraba state.
Mr. Jude Nnaemeka Ogbuagu, an Igbo businessman who is resident in Baissa and trades in various wholesale businesses and timber was abducted at his residence at Angwan Cameroon, an area of the metropolis.
Ogbuagu according to our findings hails from Emeagu LG of Enugu state did his traditional wedding on the 24th of March (6 days) before his abduction.
In the same vein, another victim who was simply identified as ‘Agama Lafia’ also a businessman who based in timber business was also abducted at his residence It Angwan Cameroon of Baissa town.
Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reporter gathered from a community source that the gunmen who came in their numbers were armed with assorted firearm, stormed the house of their victims at about 3:00 AM at the dawn of Tuesday morning and whisked away from their victims.

A neighbor to one of the victims told Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reporter that there was no gunshot from the abductors due to a lack of resistance from those abducted. The source also noted that there was no casualty during the abduction.
The police public relations office of Taraba state command, ASP Leha Reform is yet to confirm the incident as he didn't reply to the text sent to him by our reporter.
As of the time of filing this report, the kidnappers are yet to establish contact with any member of the family.
