The Secretary of Taraba State Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), Alhaji Mamman Rabiu, has reportedly been abducted by Unknown gunmen in Jalingo, on Friday.


It was gathered that the unknown gunmen who are suspected to be kidnappers stormed the house of  Rabiu in Jalingo, the state capital at about 2AM on Friday and abducted him.

It was further gathered from a community source that the gunmen were upto 10 in number, who stormed the area where Rabiu resides and four of the gunmen forced their way into his house.


New findings have it that the kidnappers had already contacted Rabiu's family and demanded N50 million ransom and as time of publishing this report, negotiation is still on between the Rabiu family and his captors.


The spokesman of the Taraba Police Command, DSP David Misal has not confirmed the incident as all his devices were switched off.
