Ex beauty queen & CEO of Taraba fashion show, Rejoyze K'nan alias Roonie have called out Queen makers in Taraba for having so many beauty queens.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB gathered that Roonie made it public via her official Facebook handle where she posted

"Priorities should not be misplaced ,We want it Sanity backY ou can’t give what you don’t have..Say no to too much pageantry and crowning".

According to findings by Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB team,  Miss K'nan was among the early crowned queens in Taraba and among the few that were opportune to win a national crown in pageantry for the state.

The Impression V signed model has undoubtedly been part of most notable events that crowns beauty queens.

It could be recalled that, last year we wrote on the Rituals of pageantry in Taraba & the untold stories and its overwhelming increase.


Our findings shows that aside the annual Mr & Miss Taraba there are  other crowns  like Most beautiful girl in Taraba, Face of Taraba, Miss First class (Three university contests)  both first and 2nd runner up crowns.

At the local government level crowns like Miss Kuteb, Miss Kurmi, Miss Kwarrafa , Miss Kuteb and many more. 

 At the academic level virtually all the tertiary institutions in Taraba has  a 'Miss ' with the exception of college of nursing for now. In Federal university Wukari Taraba state and Taraba state university virtually every department has a Miss and almost all ethnic group or association has it crown also.

Pageantry is the act of celebrating beauty, talent, brains, intellectual state of been and as well as empowering the lady to use her beauty, her influence as a beauty queen to as well empower other ladies & the masses too. Quite a number of times several beauty queens have use their office to launch campaigns against rape, drug trafficking , child abuse, early pregnancy and some reach out to IDP camps and orphanage houses.

The worrisome scandals arising after each pageantry ranging from sex scandals, unfulfilled promises, use of queens despitefully and bribery or purchase of crowns ha become worrisome and made many to lose interest in it and some tag it as immoral.
