So fly records boss and the "in between" crooner, Somidal have called out Taraba artiste for their excesses love for awards.

Somidal made this open via a Facebook post where he posted "Gaskiya Taraba Artist  too like  award sha ooo, small thing you go hear (Road Block, ATC & Mile six award nite)".

Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB, observed that, though the post sounds like a joke and was posted jokingly, but there seems to be some sense in it. There have been a rising interest by Taraba home base entertainers in awards even when they seemingly don't worth it or haven't done anything worth  awarding.

While speaking to some of entertainers, they told Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB, that awards on their own are not bad but trying to focus more on the award instead of trying to improve yourself and career is detrimental.

Others also contend that a successful artiste needs awards as part of his gallery.
