He said the victory did not come as a surprise as
the appellants had no concrete case.
His words: “In dismissing their cases, the
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Joel Agya, said
they lack merit and are incompetent.”
The cases involved four local governments
chairmanship and 12 councillorship seats.
Reacting, PDP Chairman in the state, Victor Kona
said the All Progressives Congress, APC, was
dead in the state
He notedd that the opposition was in disarray
and did not have a place in the state politics.
Kona mocked APC members who got federal
appointment, noting that they were not strong at
home.
“Everyone knows that we cannot have opposition
in this state. They are dead”, he boasted.
Members of the appeal tribunal included Justice
Joel Agya of the High Court of Justice who
served as Chairman.

Others were Justice Nuhu Adi, Justice Alfred
Yakubu, Justice Musa Babajo and Barrister Mike
Tyonon
