JALINGO— The Commissioner of Police in
Taraba State, Mr. David Akinremi, has called
for close ties between the Nigeria Police and
journalists to ensure the success of the
Command.
He stated this while playing host to members
of Nigeria Union of Jour-nalists, NUJ, Taraba
State chapter, who were in his office on a
solidarity visit.
Akinyemi was transferred to the state
Command over two weeks ago amid
herdsmen/farmers’ clashes on Mambila
Plateau.
He said close ties will yield much fruit in the
security of the state, especially with regard to
information and factual reporting of clashes.
