There are mixed reactions following Dr, Agbu Kefas, approval for the
establishment of the Committee for Mobilization of Development and Investments to Taraba State.
Recall that Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Barr Gebon Katap, the Taraba State Governor on Saturday approved the establishment of the committee for mobilization of development and investments to Taraba state and the constitution of the members of the committee.
The constitution of the committee as gathered by Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB Reporter generated mixed reactions.
The 11 man Committee to be chaired by Sen. Haruna Manu, former Deputy Governor of Taraba and a present senator, has all the members of the Senate and House of representative members from Taraba.
Reacting to the appointment, some lamented that aside from Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi, the rest of the committee members don't have investments in Taraba State. Stating that if you don't have investments in Taraba, you shouldn't be trusted to bring investment to Taraba.
Others argued that having people of such calibers as a committee will attract high value investors. Some have lamented that the governor has inaugurated lots of committees since his coming to office but most of them are not effective.
A top government official revealed that the constitution of the committee was suggested by Uba Mairiga, the Minister of regional development, to have a small committee of Tarabans at the federal level to be meeting and reviewing progress.
