The Police Command in Taraba State has arrested 38 suspected criminals at various locations across the state, according to Commissioner David Iloyanomon.

Speaking at a press conference in Jalingo on Friday, Iloyanomon revealed that the suspects were linked to various criminal activities committed at different times. The command has begun prosecuting 12 of the suspects, while investigations are still ongoing for the remaining 26.

The commissioner detailed the alleged crimes, which include kidnapping, murder, possession of prohibited arms, armed robbery, and child abuse. He noted that the suspects were apprehended with various arms, ammunition, and other dangerous weapons used in their criminal activities.

Iloyanomon cautioned vigilante groups and hunters to operate within the law and instructed Divisional Police Officers to oversee all pseudo-security apparatus in their areas. He thanked the police personnel for their successful efforts and urged them to remain vigilant regarding citizens' human rights.

He assured the public of adequate safety measures to enable farmers to achieve a successful harvest. Iloyanomon also commended community members for their cooperation and encouraged them to continue providing timely information about criminal activities in their areas.
