Popular Northern based songwriter and multi-talented instrumentalist, Lord Ande of Africa has expressed his displeasure over change of name of the traditional stool, Ukwe Takum into Chief of Takum and also the appointment of Sonpiya Gboshi as the first class Chief.
Lord Ande who is popularly known as the celebrity lecturer is from the Kuteb extraction of Takum and is known for using music to address societal issues, expressed his displeasure in a new song title "See Thief, See Chief ''.

The veteran music can be quoted saying
Everything is temporary, including the seat of the governor, president.
He is marveled how some of their brothers (other tribes) in Takum went mute and collide to steal the ancient crown of the Kutebs by colluding with Mr. Collude"

Dem don thief my crown them come dey preach for peace."
Recall that the stool of the Ukwe of Takum has been vacant since 1996 (28 years) since the demise of the former Ukwe.
The Kutebs have maintained that the stool is a traditional stool exclusively for them alone and have maintained that it is a daylight robbery against the Kutebs to change the name of the stool and give it to a Chamba man.
However the state governor insisted that what he did was for peace and the best interest of all in Takum.

Lord Ande the song writer is first and foremost not from Takum neither has he come from any ruling house, He is from Pantso a village in Ussa LGA, it is surprising that he is crying more than the bereaved, We have Kpazon people in Donga LGA, Wukari LGA, same with Chamba this people of similar ethnic group are not talking about the stool in Takum, they sees as a Takum Chiefdom affairs and not an identity things, madness is when you are asked where is the headquarters of Nigeria and you said Calabar and not Abuja again when you probe further you said it use to be the Capital of Nigeria then are been shallow that is what this man who supposedly has a Phd thinks. It is terrible and delusional.
ReplyDeletePeople like Ande who are thinking backward are not worthy of the certificate they are parading and should not to be trusted with the mentorship of our Children.
What you don't know is that all Kuteb are from Takum and even Ussa is under Takum just as we have Jimeta, yola south and the rest in yola.
