Dr. Abubakar Bala has quietly become a beacon of hope for many communities in Taraba state through his unwavering commitment to philanthropy and uplifting of the downtrodden. Despite not holding any political office, Dr. Bala has dedicated himself to giving back to society, spanning various aspects of life and touching both the young and the old.

Hails from Mayo Ndaga town of Sardauna Local Government Area. Dr Abubakar Bala is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Practitioner and a Finance Analyst working for an International Development Organization.

One of Dr. Bala's notable initiatives includes conducting free medical outreach programs in several underserved areas such as Nguroje, Kakara, Mayo Ndaga, and Gembu. These initiatives have provided much-needed healthcare services to communities that often lack access to basic medical care.

In addition to his healthcare efforts, Dr. Bala has extended a helping hand to women in communities such as Gashaka, Kakara, and Kusuku by providing cash assistance. This support has empowered women to improve their livelihoods and provide for their families.

Recognizing the importance of education, Dr. Bala has also focused on supporting the academic endeavors of young students. In Kakara, he distributed school bags and uniforms to primary school pupils, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to pursue their education.

Discovered that Mayo Ndaga Primary School lacked teachers, Dr Bala recruited eight teachers for the school and continually pay their monthly salary from his personal pocket. 

Moreover, Dr. Bala's commitment to education extends beyond material support. He has demonstrated his dedication to fostering learning opportunities by providing free distribution of 2024 JAMB forms to less privileged individuals in Sardauna and Gashaka Local Government Areas. By removing financial barriers to higher education, Dr. Bala is empowering individuals to pursue their academic aspirations.

In addition to his philanthropic efforts in healthcare and education, Dr. Bala has also sponsored capacity building workshops on topics such as Transparency, Inclusiveness, and Responsible Use of Power. These workshops aim to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute positively to their communities and society at large.
