Jalingo LG Boss Inaugurates Committee For Recruitment of Health Workers

Hon. Aminu Jauro Hassan, the Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council in Taraba State, has inaugurated an eight-member committee tasked with overseeing the recruitment of Temporary Health Workers. During the committee's inauguration at the council's conference hall in Jalingo on Monday, Jauro cautioned the members to avoid bias in carrying out their duties.

He stressed that only qualified indigenes with a valid license would be eligible for consideration for the positions. According to Jauro, this decision aims to strengthen the local government council's healthcare workforce. He also mentioned that temporary workers would have the opportunity to become permanent and pensionable based on merit when vacancies arise.

This initiative aligns with Governor Agbu Kefas' 5-finger agenda, which aims to improve primary healthcare services at the grassroots level. The Governor's dedication to delivering tangible benefits to the people of Taraba State remains steadfast.

Hon. Nathaniel Ntani, the committee's Chairman and Vice Chairman of the council, expressed gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefas for his visionary leadership. He also thanked Hon. Aminu Jauro, the LG council Chairman, for entrusting them with the responsibility to effectively carry out the recruitment process.

Jauro outlined the positions available for prospective applicants, including Community Health Officers, Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW), Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW), Pharmacy Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Health Information Management Technician, as well as Nurses and Midwives. He emphasized that applicants must be recent graduates and possess a valid practicing license, among other requirements.
