Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has highlighted the urgency of the Federal Government commencing work on the Mambilla Hydro Project.
He emphasized the project’s importance for the overall development of the region and Nigeria, stressing the need to initiate work on it promptly.
The governor made this appeal during the 10th-anniversary celebration of the Chief of Mambilla, Dr Shehu Baju II, in Sardauna, the administrative headquarters of Gembu council in Taraba State.
Through his Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State, SGS, Barrister Awwal Tukur, Fintiri stressed the economic growth potential and positive impact on local livelihoods such infrastructure projects will bring to the region.
He called for the people of the Mambila region to embrace peace and unity and collaborate to ensure joint developmental efforts between neighboring states.
