A mining firm in Taraba state, Elipse Industries Nigeria Ltd weekend donated skill acquisition items worth millions of naira to Hope Afresh Foundation owned by the wife of Governor Ishaku.

The managing director of the company, Mr. Denzel Akogu, while presenting the items and five million naira cash to the foundation said the gesture was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.


He noted that the company has enjoyed the goodwill of the people of Suntai, a local community where its site is located.

Akogu who was represented by Alhaji Mujaheed Muhammad stated that the items were meant to empower the unemployed youth with various skills which would enable them to be self-reliant.


Akogu said the company commenced its operations in the mining of lithium, a mineral resource in 2019 in the state adding that the company had enjoyed relative peace in its area of operation.

He said the company would continue to support the local communities where the exploration was going on, adding that it had already provided the community with motorized boreholes, and employment and wished to do more.


Earlier, Mallam Dauda Haruna, the Chief of Suntai chiefdom in Bali local government, the location of the mining site, appealed to the government to provide needed support to the company to carry out its mining operation without hitches.
