Following the recent heavy downpour that ravaged over 10, 000 communities in Ibi local government council of Taraba state, residents of the local government Monday appealed to the state government, federal government and spirited individuals to as a matter of urgency come to their aid.
Some residents who spoke to journalists in Ibi LGA of the state said they have lost their houses, businesses, property, farms and animals to the flood disaster.
A resident of Angwan Sarki in Ib LGA, Hajia Mainunat Angwa, while speaking to journalists lamented that the natural disaster has brought untold hardship on them.
She stated that they have lost property worth millions of naira to flood. She also said many of those affected are at the moment homeless.
She stated that they were forced to take refuge in IDP camps and relations’ apartments.
