The Taraba Geographic Information System (TAGIS) has commenced the second phase of the property record exercise in Takum LGA of Taraba State.


The team, led by the Programme Manager, Surveyor Mark Joshua was in Takum particularly Gaweton and Rogo wards to capture data on landed properties in the areas.


Before the commencement of the exercise, the team paid a courtesy visit to Sarkin Jukun to intimate him about their mission.


The Program Manager, Mark Joshua told the community leaders that they were in Takum for the second phase of record taking of landed properties in the two wards which will be used for development purposes and planning.


According to Surveyor Mark Joshua, the program comes along with developmental opportunities as it will ensure the application of modern technology in the storage of records of landed properties.


The Chairman of Takum local government council, Hon. Shibam Tikari urged the leaders of the two wards to support the course of the program and ensure that the exercise is successful in the areas considering its huge benefits.


He equally applauded Governor Darius Ishaku-led administration for coming up with programs that are beneficial to the people.
