Tragedy struck on Friday as one person have been reportedly killed while three others were injured following the collapse of an ongoing construction of a storey building belonging to a Taraba based business millionaire, Mr Uche Obi, in Jalimgo the Taraba state capital.


It was gathered that the story building which is opposite Taraba State Polytechnic Jalingo gate, was on the first floor of construction before the incident occurred when the laborers were at work.


Findings revealed that  Mr. Uche Obi who deals in building materials is currently facing a legal battle with the Standard organization of Nigeria (SON) at the high court Jalingo over the alleged selling of substandard building materials.


It was learned that the men of the Security and Civil Defense Corps and the police were seen at the scene trying to rescue the trapped laborers.


Men of the Nigerian police force and NSCDC have reduced some of the mm trapped in the building.
