Fire outbreak that could have led to a tragedy was on Thursday averted at Zing LGA of Taraba state while offloading

Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) gathered from a community source in Zing, Haliru Dantata that the incident occurred at a filling station which is located at Sabon Layi area of Zing metropolis.

According to our source, a petrol tank came to offload petrol into small tanks in the station and in the process, a motorcycle rider came to buy petrol and was served. Unknowingly to the sellers and the bike man, some petroleum spilled on the bike's silencer.

Upon starting the bike, it caught fire and caused pandemonium, the fire also caught the pipe passing the fuel but the bike man was swift to run away and the pipe was immediately thrown into a nearby river close to the filling station.

We confirmed that aside from the bike destroyed, no one was hurt.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog reports that this is coming a few days after a fire outbreak killed a one-year-old boy in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital following a gas explosion.
