President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Honor Sirawoo has described Sports as a tool for unity and empowerment which the youths understands.
The President was speaking, when Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Taraba State Chapter Joachim Dangana Peters paid him a visit in Port Harcourt,the Rivers State Capital.
He commended Governor Darius Ishaku for releasing funds for Taraba State contingents to take part at the National Sports festival in Edo State and the National Youth games that was held in illorin,Kwara State recently.
The SWAN Boss urged Governor Darius Ishaku to invest more in Sports since Youths are the major players which again has the capacity to sustain peace since it can engage Youths in various sporting activities.
Sirawoo,charged the Chairman SWAN Taraba to strive at initiating clinics and other programs to boost the knowledge of SWAN Members mostly in reporting various Sports.
He saluted his Deputy,Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo for standing by his administration urging him to sustain the tempo.
The SWAN President assured SWAN Taraba of his support to enable them succeed.
Earlier, Chairman SWAN Taraba State Chapter,Joachim Dangana Peters said he was in Rivers State for an official assignment but deemed it fit to visit the President.
He appealed to Honour Sirawoo to support SWAN Taraba in a bid to complement efforts of the Excos in reporting Sports activities in all nook and crannies of Taraba State.
During the Visit,the SWAN boss presented copies of the statute of SWAN to SWAN Taraba Chairman.
