Describes the Aku who joined his ancestors as monarch per excellence

The member representing Wukari and Ibi federal constituency has eulogised the custodians of Jukun culture and tradition, describing their commitments and doggedness in upholding to the rules and ethics of the tradition for the reverberation of Jukun history, as superlative. 

The lawmaker made this disclosure after the Pankya activity in Puje where His Royal Majesty, Dr Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi Kuvyon II bade farewell to his subjects, Jukun people and their friends across the world as he proceeded to Nando to meet his ancestors. 

Shiddi said he was not only impress by the reverberative sounds and echoes of Jukun tradition and culture at Pankya but count himself privilege to witness such a great event in history after 45 years aback.  

He said apart from the traditional aspect, Taraba state is so blessed with rich cultural potential in its over 40 ethnic groups  that if harnessed would open more doors of tourist opportunities that will upturn tourist fortunes for the socioeconomic growth of the state. 

He extolled the virtues of Aku Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi, describing him as a mornach of repute whose style of leadership had not only dwell within the web of Jukun spiritual affairs but extended to the realm of socioeconomic affairs which has brought development in all facets within and out of the state.


He lauded the commitment of the chief mourner, the Abon Ziken and other spiritual leaders who ensured that the every traditional rites covering Puje, leading to Pankya and all that concerns the transitional activities of Aku Shekarau went successful. 

He, however prayed that Chidon (the Maker of Heaven and the Earth),  guide the Kingmakers as they embark on another round of traditional rites for the selection of the new Aku.
