The Member Representing Ussa Constituency at the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Habila Anderufun has urged Governor Darius Ishaku to direct the state Road Construction and Maintenance Agency to rehabilitate the Takum-Ussa highway.
Anderufun made the call while speaking to our Reporter about the recent flooding that overtook the highway that made movement difficult for his constituents, hence the need for urgent government intervention.
He said if the government intimate and directs the agency to rehabilitate the road as early as possible, it will make movement easier for not only the people of the areas but also passersby.
Hon. Habila Anderufun explained that so many residential buildings were also affected following a heavy downpour which made life difficult for the people living around the areas.
The lawmaker further called on the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to reach out to the people being discerned with the level of destruction caused by the downpours.
He urged the people of the area to desist from negative comments on social media but rather pray for their leaders, while he assured them that Governor Darius Ishaku has a listening ear and will ameliorate the problem they are faced with.
