Against the backdrop of the not too young to run, Mr.  Felix Pascal Pulevo, a thirty-four years old holder of M.Sc in  Environmental Management from Modibbo Adamawa University Yola, believed he will make a good minister if allowed to replace the sacked minister of power,  Engineer Saleh Mamman.

Recall that Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) had earlier reported that, earlier this month, the Ex-Minister of power, Engineer Saleh Mamman was relieved from his official duty as a minister and since then, over 42 Taraba APC chieftains have shown interest to replace the minister by lobbying for the position.

The sack of Mammam created a vacuum for Taraba in the federal executive council (FEC), Mr. Pulevo a young Taraban has also decided to join the race in the bid to replace the minister. He believes he has the basic technical know-how, equipped with essential leadership, managerial skills to add value to the country. Insisting that a young, vibrant brain like his own will be of great benefit to the state and country and large.

Pulevo believes that his educational qualifications, age, political experience among others are additional advantages that will give him an edge and place him at a better competitive advantage than his counterparts: being the founder and chairman of Zing Renaissance Youths initiative, an initiative that undertakes 'the' education and training of a lot of children and youth.

The Initiative has awarded scholarships to over 100 pupils and students in secondary and tertiary institutions. To add to his adherence to law and order, he currently serves as the Secretary of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Zing Local Government.

In a letter captioned "Not too young to be a minister " addressed to President Mohammed Buhari, Pulevo made his intentions known, urging the president not to shy away from assigning him with the responsibility of becoming the next minister from the state after the removal of Mamman.

Stressing the fact that, the present cabinet  does not have a youth below the age of 40 years,  if saddled with the responsibility of being the minister, it will give the youths a sense of belonging which posses a better future for the country.

Ciiting Section 147 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (As Amended) which provides for at least a minister per state of the federation, said " I hereby humbly apply for appointment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."

Apart from his qualifications,  being not only a card-carrying member of the party but an active member of the party who contested for the state house of Assembly for Zing Constituency in the 2019 general election and performed credibly, he believed should as well be allowed to contribute to the rapid growth of the country at the national level.

In the election,  he said " my candidature pulled out a wonderful performance which gave the party the highest votes by an opposition political party in the history of such an election in Zing Local Government Area, Taraba State being a PDP controlled LGA and State since 1999. "

"Besides my educational and political experience, my ethnic background " as made known by him "also makes me suitable for the position applied being from the Mumuye stuck (the major ethnic group in Taraba State, predominantly found in over seven local governments out of the sixteen local governments of the state)." He added.
