Tragedy struck on Thursday as suspected rivalry cult clash left one dead in Zing LG of Taraba.


Rhapsodi Affos Blog gathered that the deceased, who was simply identified as Vincent alias Junior Jay zee, was a 300 level student of the French department in the college of education, Zing.


According to reports, Vincent was alleged to meet his end in the early hours of Thursday when a rival cult group ambushed him at Sabon Layi, a suburb of Zing LG and beat him to death.


A source in the institution who spoke with Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB reporter said the rising cases of cult group is gradually becoming alarming in the metropolis and more specially the institution.


As at time of filing this report, his corpse has since been deposited in the mortuary  of general hospital, Zing.


The Taraba state Police Public relations officer, DSP Abdullahi Usman is yet to confirm the incident as he didn't pick nor return the calls and text messages sent to him by our reporter.
