Seven Killed, 3 Missing As Herders/farmers Clash in Taraba Community (Photos)

Seven people have been reportedly killed, and at least 3missing as Herders and farmers clash in Munga donso community of Karim Lamido LG of Taraba.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog gathered from a community source, Paul said the clash started on Sunday when a young farmer simply identified as Danfulani, an indigene of Munga Donso went to his farm, and realised that herders have taken their cattles into the farm and ate all that was there.

Angered by the situation, Danfulani confronted the herders but was overpowered by them, and they killed him.

According to our source, after a thorough search his dead body was found on Monday near a stream in the bush.

According to our findings, the indigene of the town also made a reprisal attack which led to the  death of some herdsmen on Tuesdays.

The chairman of Karim Lamido, Hamidu Markus has confirmed the report to our reporter. Adding that it was an unfortunate incident and calls for calmness.

He also added that a task force is already on guard and security forces are calming the situation.

DSP David Misal, the police public relations officer (PPRO) is yet to confirm the report as he neither picked nor returned the calls, and messages sent to him by our reporter.

Some of the farmers who spoke to Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) lamented that the herders are fond of invading their farmlands on Sundays  whenever they are off to church, allowing their castles to feed on their crops.

As at time of filing this report, a relative calmness had returned to the land.
