Jalingo - Unknown Gunmen have on Sunday abducted the Taraba State chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comr. Peter Jediel.
Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) gathered that the Chairman was kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday at around 12;30 AM at his residence located in Sunkani, the administrative headquarters of Ardo-Kola local government council of the state.
Recall that Rhapsodi Affos Blog had reported that Jediel was abducted earlier this year (21 February) before regaining his freedom.
Rev. Philip Micah Dopah, the correctional director of the Southern Conference of the United Methodist (UMCN) Church where Jediel worships, confirmed the incident during Sunday service and urged Tarabans to cry to God in one voice for the safe release of the labour leader.
When our reporter contacted the spokesperson of the Taraba state police command, DSP David Misal via Telephone he said he no longer serves in that office because he has been transferred and thus cannot make any statement about it.
As at the time of filing this report, the abductors are yet to establish any contact with the family of the deceased.
