Tragedy struck on Thursday as unknown Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted a mother of 6 and shot 3 people while escaping.


Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB that the woman who was identified as Zubaida Mohammed Sabo was abducted on Thursday at her residence at Lamurde community of Sarkin Dawaki ward, a subhub of Jalingo, the Taraba state capital.


The son of the victim, Harisu Sabo Mohammed who spoke with journalist ssaid, he was asleep while he heard a knock on his door and it was his younger brother, Abdulrazak who informed him that their mother was abducted.


According to Abdulrasaq


"I was sleeping when some people tore the door net and pointed a gun at me asking me to open the door which I hesitated but when my mom heard it, she insisted that I open the door.  They Kidnappers told me that they came for money but not to harm anyone, so I did open the door".


"They collected my mother's phone immediately she came out and they asked her to follow them, which she did"


Rhapsodi Affos Blog gathered that while trying to escape, the gunmen shot 3 people they sighted including a 70 year old begar at river Lamurde leading to the instant death of one, the other died hours later and one was critically injured and receiving treatment".


As at the time of filing this report, one the deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.


The police are yet to confirm the incident because our reporter is yet to establish contact with their new public relations officer.
