Popular Northern Nigerian minister, HRH Autan Zaki Ikon Allah has decried the unhealthy competition amongst gospel ministers and preachers in Taraba state and the nation at large as a major setback in the gospel ministry.

The controversial music minister, while speaking at Gospel Mania2021 stressed the fact that it is worrisome how preachers in Taraba state see themselves as competitions instead of co-workers in the vineyard of God. Adding that there is no way the church of God will grow if they keep competing with themselves.

Stressing the fact that preachers should be true to themselves and learn to challenge bad governance even if it's coming from the church. “If the pastors can challenge the president for bad governance, they should also learn to challenge their respective governors even if he is a Christian”.

In the same vein, he urged gospel music ministers to desist from envy and jealousy as it is not healthy for their spiritual life, he urges them to wait their time and not be desperate for success and fame, because it breeds deceit.

Gospel mania is an annual gospel music event hosted in Taraba, which harbors ministers from various spheres of life to worship God in spirit and truth. The year's edition was held at Family Forum Auditorium, Jalingo Taraba State and tagged “Realms Of Glory”.

Earlier, the guest preachers, Pst. Hope Gaina spoke “Realms Of Glory” and took his reading from 2 Cor 3:15, he revealed two ways of activating God's glory; Turning to the Lord, and tabernacle with him till your ordination is complete.

Bishop Jesse Dibal on his path took his reading from 2nd Samuel 6:6 and also said Men won't testify of your glory till God has broken them.
