Taraba state governor, Arch Darius Dickson Ishaku has revealed that criticism is part and parcel of him and it makes him stand up to responsibilities and do better.
Ishaku made this known during an interactive section with INFERNO TV, a Taraba-based online media outlet on Sunday while speaking on State Affairs. According to him, the success of his administration can be traced greatly to constructive and objective criticism.
Citing an example of how someone was criticizing over the delayed payment of Rescue Teachers and faulting the process. According to him, he set up a little investigation and found out that the delay was coming from the people involved in the payment and it was rectified. However, he said, the criticism should be constructive, objective not a stupid and insensible one.
In the same development, Ishaku also said occupying the seat of the first citizen of the state is the most difficult job he has ever done.
According to the governor he has held so many positions and offices which include being a consultant, a lecturer and University don, and a minister of the federal republic before emerging as governor in 2015 but being a governor has been more tasking and demanding.
The governor said, while you are trying to solve one issue, another one pops up, while you're dealing with one issue, several issues pop up, and all demand your attention as a leader. He added that it's more of revolving in a cycle.
He, however, stressed the fact that despite the challenges his administration is faced with, he was able to achieve milestone achievements which include the education sector, roads, health, water sector, and lots more.
Counting on his success, he said he made a debilitated health sector in the state but has revived it and rehabilitated the hospitals in Wukari & Gembu, stressing that Bambur, a suburb of Karim Lamido will be next.
Talking of the education sector, he said the Taraba State University(TSU) had only 4 professors and limited faculties but now has over 50 professors and faculties respectively. Also, Taraba state recorded success in NECO and WAEC courtesy of his administration.
