21,797 most vulnerable persons in Taraba  State have been added to the list of beneficiaries of the National Conditional Cash Transfer program.

State Head of Unit, Conditional Cash Transfer, Mr. Skepra Useni who disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Jalingo, Taraba State capital on the activities of the unit said, this is in addition to the already existing 17,803 beneficiaries in the state.

He described the current social investment program initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in partnership with the World Bank as unique compared to those in the past.

According to Mr. Useni, a lot has been achieved since the commencement of the program in the state, noting that beneficiaries of the earlier doled N5000 cash transfer had testified that the funds aided in lifting them out of poverty.
