As part of measures to contain the spread of COVID19 in Taraba and Nigeria at large, Taraba state governor, Arch Darius Ishaku has on Monday, taking a dose of AstraZeneca Vaccine.

Our reporter who was at the scene of the vaccination reported that the vaccination took place at the Government House premises in Jalingo where the Governor took the first dose.

Recall that Rhapsodi Affos Blog had earlier reported that about 56, 250 doses of oxford AstraZeneca Vaccine arrived at Taraba. The vaccines, we gathered, were allocated to various LG after training of health workers from various levels from the state, LG, and wards levels were done.  



Speaking immediately after his vaccination, lshaku urged all Tarabans to get vaccinated and contain its menace. He however urged the health workers to take advantage of this period to get vaccinated to boost their immune systems.  

Ishaku said that the news going around the social media space regarding the potency of the vaccine is not true because and only propaganda, adding that from findings the vaccine is safe and effective and that is why he has been vaccinated. He said prevention is better than cure and urged the people to use this opportunity and get vaccinated.
