Popular Taraba-based counselor and minister, Pst Hope Gaina Dauda who is also the convener of Significant Marriage, has urged gospel music ministers to strive to be gospel ministers, not celebrities.
Pst. Gaina made this known while giving out a sermon on Friday, in Jalingo, at the concert “Worship Personified” alongside the book lunch of Min. Aminchi Nicodemus tagged “The Power Of Praise”.
He spoke on the topic “The last concert” and took his reading from Revelation 15:5-10. According to the clergyman, a lot of gospel ministers were voices a few years ago and a lot of them rose to the limelight but all of a sudden lost their voices because they were after celebrity status and not being ministers.
Adding that, gospel ministers shouldn't labor to be celebrities alone but ministers because celebrities don't last on stage.
Pst. Gaina said celebrities attract fans and once a new celebrity emerges, the former becomes extinct but a gospel music minister never fades away. He also cautions believers not to take for granted the overstretched gospel of grace so they won't lose the last concert.
Rhapsodi Affos Blog reports that the concert/ book launch hosted a lots of prominent personalities in the state and even beyond.
