The Abducted chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Taraba State chapter, Com.Peter Jediel, has been freed by his abductors.


The Acting Police Public Relations Officer of Taraba state command confirmed via telephone on Sunday evening.

Adding that the he NLC Chairman has since been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.


His freedom came barely 24 hours after he was kidnapped. According to a family source, Jediel had on Sunday reunited with his family. However, the source could not confirm if a ransom was paid before the release or not.


Rhapsodi Affos Blog had reported that Comrade Peter Jediel was kidnapped on Sunday when gunmen stormed his house at Sunkani, the headquarter of Ardo Kola, in the early hours of Sunday at the,e dawn of the morning at around midnight numbering up to 10 whisked away with him.
