In retaliation to the abduction of 27 people abducted along with Chachanji and Kofai Ahmadu villages of Takum LG, some angry Takum youths are alleged to have abducted 31 TIV youths.


Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) reporter gathered from different community sources on condition of anonymity that all accusing fingers are pointing to the late Gana gang and are allegedly suspected to be TIV youths. Adding that the abductors of the 26 youths headed to the Benue axis.


He said there was reliable information the kidnappers have moved the victims into a forest situated between Takum local government in Taraba and Katsina-Ala in Benue State.

The sources further disclosed that in revenge for the abduction of the 26 victims, youths in Takum on Thursday evening attacked Tivs residents in Takum and abducted 31 persons, including women and children.

He said the abducted Tivs are hostage in an unknown hideout in Takum.

He said they also vowed to kill the 31 Tivs in their custody should anything happen to their kinsmen.

Taraba Police spokesman, DSP David Misal confirmed the kidnappers have established communication with relations of the victims.

Misal, however, appealed to Takum youths to exercise patience, promising the police were making concerted efforts to secure the release of the kidnapped victims.

Recall that Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB) had reported that 26 wedding guests were abducted by unknown gunmen on Wednesday between Chachanji and Kofai Ahmadu villages of Takum LG.


As of Friday, the abductors of the 26 wedding hosts have made contact with the families of those they've held hostage placing a ransom of 2Million per person, summing up to 52 Million.
