As part of her campaign promises and in her bid to give back to society and add value to humanity, The reigning Miss Taraba, Queen Grace Sunday has on Thursday donated food items to widows in Takum LGA of Taraba state.
Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB gathered that at least 50bags of 5kg rice, 50 wrappers, and a small amount of cash was distributed to the widows in Gahwetum town, a suburb of Takum LGA of the state.
Widows gathered in their numbers at the palace of Kuru kpanti, Gahwetun palace in Takum where the beauty queen visited and distributed the food items, wrappers, and lots more to them.
The beauty in her generosity and magnanimity empathizes with the widows and hence decided to reach out to them even at this festive period to also give them a sense of belonging.
This reaffirms the fact that giving is not in the abundance of resources at your disposal but the ability to give even with the little at your disposal.
In an interview with Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB reporter in Takum, Queen Grace Sunday revealed that she decided to embark on the project to give a sense of belonging to the widows and to also change the narratives people have about pageantry and beauty queens.
While speaking with some of the widows, they expressed their joy over the show of concern, care, and love by the queen as it will help them celebrate Christmas better.
Earlier, the traditional ruler of Gahwetum, Kuru Gahwetum applauded the queen for being thoughtful enough to have embarked on such a remarkable project and also said such gestures are worthy of emulation.
