Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has reaffirmed the determination of administration towards the completion of Kurmi-Baisa road to ameliorate their sufferings.

He stated this during the Sensitization exercise on the Hydroelectric Power Project to the people of Kurmi, in Baissa Kurmi Local government Area.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner of Power, Badina Garba said he is aware of the plight of the people which moves into the area to be difficult.

He asked the traditional rulers to brace up in their efforts to extend the message to their subjects by cooperating with the Committee assigned to galvanize the project.

Speaking at the program, Chairman Kurmi Local government Council, John Danladi Amamzala thanked the Federal government and Taraba State Government for inputting efforts towards the actualization of the Project noting that the vision behind the project was initiated over forty years back.

John Amamzala pleaded for the inclusion of its people in terms of employment to give them a sense of belonging in the take-off of the Power project.

On his part, the representative of Host Community Chairman, Bobboi Kaigama represented by Iliya Wanapia assured the Committee of their total support.

Responding, Kum Ndola, Tanko Tabena lauded the Federal government and Governor Darius Ishaku for displaying a commitment to the people in giving social amenities which is critical to the development of any nation.

The Royal father charged the Committee assigned for the execution of the project to be just in compensating landowners to avoid any form of hitches at the course of discharging the work.
