The National Youth Council of Nigeria Taraba State Chapter has frowned at the activities of youths in Taraba state who have embarked on a protest in view of the end SARS and SWAT in the Country. The apex youth body has also passed a vote of confidence on gov. Darius Ishaku.


This was made known via a press release by the Taraba state chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Udi Adamu.


According to the press statement which was made available to Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB, Udi said some youths have a nurse intention to foment trouble in view of recent SARS and SWAT in the Country.

According to him, over the years, Taraba Youths are known for their resilience and peaceful disposition hence the need to maintain the status for the interest of peace and development.


Udi urged the youth to be peace loving as wise as selfish people are tactically hijacking the protest and using it as a medium to perpetrate evil and all sorts of crime.

“In a recent protest at the Government House the Executive Governor of the State, Arc.Darius Dickson Ishaku promised to create more jobs and appointments for youths  and also look at recent Keke Napep hike and other issues bedeviling Youths”.

“NYCN is Stating categorically that we are in full support of protest on end SARS as we urge the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency look at total reformation of the Nigeria Police Force to end brutality of innocent citizens”.

“The stories in other States are shocking, peaceful #EndSARS protest has degenerated into a monster that is threatening the well-being of the society”.

“Lives and limbs have been lost as criminals and miscreants are now hiding under the umbrella of these protests to unleash mayhem”

“Youths in Taraba State must not allow the State to be thrown to anarchy because of the committed spirit of Governor Ishaku who remains the Governor that has employed more youths than any Governor and has also engaged youths in various skills acquisition programs”.

“In view of the above we are notifying the general public that the NYCN shall be organizing a stakeholders interactive meeting of opinion Youth leaders with security heads to adopt ways of how youths can be properly informed of recent development in the Country and various youths empowerment program of Governor Darius Ishaku in the State”.

“Youths who are the leaders of today must not throw caution to the dustbin for their own selfish interest which is a call for all of us to embrace peace and tolerate one another”

“It is on this note that we plead with our amiable Governor Arc.Darius Ishaku to look at the issue of bursary of students to ameliorate their sufferings as a result of COVID 19.

Protesting youths should always have a leader like the ugly scenario that was created on Monday in the presence of the State Governor,his deputy and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly,none were able to speak constructively,which is unfortunate”

The State Governor Darius Ishaku who is youth friendly is better placed to listen to challenges facing youths hence the need for us to be civilised and orderly in our approach.

“In view of the many developmental initiatives of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku on the employment of Youths in Taraba State Broadcasting Service,TV Taraba,Judiciary,Health Services Management Board,Board of Internal Revenue,Ministry of water Resources,College of Education Zing and many others including the engagement programs for youths has distinguish the Governor from past Governors of the State”

“It is on this premise that the over one million Youths in Taraba State are passing A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE on the leadership of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku in Taraba State.”
