Spokesman

Musa Affos (Rhapsodi)

Famous Nigerian, Kaduna born gospel rapper, Spokesman has frowned at how churches defile the altar of God by bringing comedians to crack jokes on stage, thereby making mockery of the altar of God. Rhapsodi Affos Blog reports.

The rapper who is also a preacher with ECWA church made this known on Sunday in Jalingo, while ministering at a 2day program tagged “Beyond HipHoo Season 2”, organised by Christ Glorious Army (CGA) rap Clique in Jalingo where he was the guest minister,

According to the rapper, he said the altar of God is supposed to be for spiritual things and also serves as a changing room not a fora where jokes are to be cracked, also saying things that are not supposed to be said on the altar.

Spokesman also lamented lack of spirituality of the church and how the church is gradually losing its virtues in the quest to gain acceptance from the outside world, he however added that the church is supposed to be the reference point where people copy from it but the other way round. He also urges spiritual leaders to tell the youths the truth without fear or favour.

He also called on the church to note that hip-hop is also a tool for preaching Christ and winning souls to God and should be embraced.
