Members of Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) have on Thursday arrested a 14-year old boy for allegedly defiling a 4-year old girl in Jalingo


The rapist who was identified as Khalifa Lawan of Mayo-Gwai in Jalingo Local Government Area of Taraba State has been arrested by .


The VGN Commander, Jalingo Command, Munnir Bello said the suspect was apprehended by his men on Thursday morning at AA Kassa under Barde Ward in Jalingo Local Government Area.


In a video clip made available by the commander during an interrogation, the suspect, Khalifa Lawan admitted to have committed the crime, adding that this was his fifth victim.

“I have defiled about five girls most of them are within the ages of three to four and one at  Nasarawo, one at NTA, one at Sabon Layi, one at Mayo Dasa and this one in our area Mayo-Gwai.

“We live in Mayo-gwai with my parents,” Lawan disclosed.


He further revealed that, “There is one Adamu whom I call my boss because he was the one who introduced me to this evil act and we became close when I was learning mechanical work, while he was selling phones close to our workshop.


” Some time back, he gave me a powdered medicine (Charm) called “LAKUM” and I mixed it with alcohol and drank, since then even if I want to quit, I cannot and once I call them, they come without giving them anything,” Lawan confessed.


The suspect however, explained that Adamu also used to play with his manhood and give him between N50 to N100 for feeding before he introduced him to that evil act.


” Adamu used to give me N50 or N100 to go and eat after he touches my ‘Lily’ that is my private part and when he asked me to go and start defiling small girls when I came back, he will touch my manhood and he upgraded the amount to between N800 to N1,000,” 14 year old Khalifa revealed.


However, commenting on the development, VGN Commander, Jalingo Local Government Command, Commander Munir Bello reiterated their commitment towards continuing assisting security agents in curbing all forms of crime in the society.


Meanwhile, the suspect has been handed over to the CID department at the Police Headquarters, Taraba State Command by the Administration Officer of the VGN Jalingo Local Government Command, Nuhu Usman for further investigation.
